A little about me...
Hello there! I'm Brandy, the woman behind the hook and wheel.
My crochet journey started in 2014, shortly after my grandmother passed. Helping my family go through her estate, I found some crochet pieces my great grandmother had made. They were simple, yet beautiful. That sparked an interest that I just had to explore. Thanks to the internet, and a lot of practice, I was able to teach myself the basics and learned how to read patterns.
By 2020, my love for the craft had fallen stagnant. I always had something on my hook, but never anything that would hold my interest for long. Then I discovered an amazing designer, Nickie Chapin of WiggleStick Designs. Her designs reignited that spark and quickly turned my love for the craft into a passion.
At the beginning of 2021, I got the itch to further my fiber journey and tried spinning yarn. I LOVED it. After just one skein on a drop spindle, I purchased my first wheel. I was all in and I never looked back.
Now, just over 9 years after picking up a hook, I'm taking another step in my fiber journey with designing. I have much to learn, but I can't wait to see where this new journey takes me.
Designs
My newest venture! I currently have two crochet designs available, but I do hope to add many more as I grow in my confidence and skill.
Handspun Yarn
While all yarn is beautiful, handspun stands out from the rest. Spinners can craft exquisite yarns that can't be achieved by dyers or mills. The slight variations between thick and thin, the ply, the colorway, fiber blends, the way the fiber is prepped, the drafting method...they all come together in this beautiful symphony to create a masterpiece.
Spinning Fiber
The rabbit hole just got a little bit deeper! Now offering small batch blends for spinners looking to venture out of the standard blends available commercially! Each blend is processed by hand and offered in batts or roving.
Handmade Items
If you're looking for ready to ship handmade items for a special occasion or just because, I've got you covered! From doilies, stuffed animals, wearables, and blankets, all are handmade with love by yours truly. Items that are not my own original designs will have the designer info listed in the description.
